Éclair the Swift has turned herself into somewhat of an urban legend. Weilding the musket, a weapon revolutionary for her time, Éclair lives a double life: local hero by day, and rutheless bounty hunter by night.
Born and raised in a small cottage, a young girl named Caroline was ready to strike out on her own and begin a life where she didn't have to hunt for her own food. Her uncle, a dwarven inventor, sent her off with his newest creation: a metal tube that put a metal ball in a target a hundred paces away. On her first night in town, Caroline witnessed a a woman being robbed from outside her inn window. In a quick act of heroism, she grabbed her uncle's invention and shot the bandit. By morning, word had gotten out about Caroline's good deed, making her a town celebrity. Knowing her uncle would never approve of his creation being used to harm a person, Caroline changed her name to Éclair, and bestowed upon her musket the name Madeline, after the woman she saved.
Now, Écalir and Madeline wander the land, helping those in need, making a living for herself using her skills to eliminate evil for pay.
